2 | Health Matters: Providence Mission Hospital Letter to the Community Dear Mission family, Providence Mission Hospital recently celebrated our 50-year legacy of providing hope and healing to South Orange County. Now we're looking ahead and embarking on an expansion plan to meet our community 's needs for the next 50 years. I am thrilled to share that an integrated master plan was just approved for Providence Mission Hospital, exemplifying the exciting future for health care in South County. The innovative three-part plan includes a substantial expansion of the Mission Viejo hospital campus and the development of new multi-specialty health centers in San Clemente and Rancho Mission Viejo. The campus expansion will focus on a new patient care tower, which will provide state-of-the-art operating suites, additional cardiac catheterization labs and nearly 100 new private patient rooms. The new tower will allow us to greatly enhance our neuroscience center of excellence, cardiovascular programs and maternity services. The plan includes an additional multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. The multi-specialty health centers in Rancho Mission Viejo and San Clemente will vastly improve convenience and access to exceptional care. These one-of-a-kind centers will offer high-acuity urgent care staffed with emergency medicine physicians, a full-service imaging center with advanced diagnostics and a multi-specialty clinic with primary care physicians, OB-GYNs and other specialty care providers. The next five to six years will be an exciting time to be part of the Mission family as we implement this plan and continue to enhance the health and well-being of our community. Seth R.
