14 Human Resources Health and Wellness The Providence Promise Caregiver Experience Survey Each year in October, our caregivers take the Caregiver Experience Survey to provide feedback on what we are doing well and what we need to improve. We have already been under way with action plans associated with our last October 's survey results Our strengths are the same for both ministries • Identification with our Mission and Values. • Caregivers are trusted to take actions in the best interests of those we serve. • Caregivers are able to give compassion to people they work with. Our opportunities for improvement: • Difficulty discussing errors and ethical issues without negative consequences. • Caregivers needing more support from their leaders and colleagues. • Feeling physically safe (San Pedro only). The Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisory Council members have made a difference improving our ministry's caregiver experience scores. The council works with Garry to discuss and develop actions to address caregiver concerns. New Caregiver Onboarding Experience We've created an exciting new orientation and onboarding experience for our new hires designed to connect with them right after they accept their position. To help promote a sense of belonging, it engages the caregiver with onboarding activities throughout their first year, including immersion into our Mission and Heritage. The new orientation program also improves the connections with Core Leaders from the beginning of the new hires' Providence journey. We kicked off our enhanced New Caregiver Orientation on Dec. 6, 2021. Hiring leaders, clinical education and Human Resources connected with new hires prior to them starting. Our orientations have been enhanced to support in-person experiences as well as continuing with the virtual orientations that was established when the pandemic began. On Jan. 20, 2022, we launched OnBoardMe, a new onboarding app that greatly eases the way for new caregivers during their preboarding process. New caregivers will now be able to see what tasks they have completed or still need to complete up until their start day. We also plan to add more touchpoints during the new hires' first year of employment. Rise Learning Platform Rise is your one-stop shop for all skill-building, classes and learning.
