A message from President and CEO, Rod Hochman, M.D. Unifying around a common brand At Providence St. Joseph Health, we are blessed to be a diverse family of ministries and organizations committed to Health for a Better World. We were founded by a number of congregations of Catholic women and men religious. We also partner with organizations rooted in the Methodist and Presbyterian traditions, as well as other-than-Catholic, community-based organizations. Our diversity is a strength, and we honor and celebrate the unique heritages that make us who we are today. We are also deeply connected by a shared calling to love each other as ourselves and to serve every person as our dear neighbor, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. Together, we are part of something bigger. In the message below, you'll learn more about a symbol of unity that will enable us to better serve our patients, their families and our communities. It symbolizes our solidarity as we work to create a healthier, more compassionate, more loving society. As Pope Francis reminds us, "We all need each other. None of us is an island, separate from the other. We can only build the future by standing together, including everyone." Thank you for standing with us and for all you do to strengthen the Mission and bring hope and healing to our communities. It was a process that allowed us to honor the past while articulating a new way to express who we are and what we stand for, together.    After months of careful deliberation, our Sponsors and Board have unanimously agreed to unify our Catholic ministries around a common brand: the St. Joseph Health cross and the word
