Our cover photo introduces you to a couple of caregivers who recently joined our team. Sarge and his handler, Pat, are the first hospital-based K9 team in the state of Washington. Read how our leadership team took action to protect our caregivers and at the same time, meet our Mission to be expressions of God's healing love for our patients. When you read about the Martin family, you'll see how our orthopedic and sports medicine caregivers took a team approach in providing customized care based on the patients' needs. In this issue, you'll also read how our stroke experts, in collaboration with our EMS partners, are giving patients their best possible outcomes. Read how Patrick McNally benefitted from that rapid response and continued his recovery with caregivers at St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute and our outpatient stroke clinic. Providence caregivers have taken care of me and members of my family, and I've expressed my gratitude. I invite you to do the same by thanking caregivers who have supported you, consoled you and cared for you in a time of need. Every day, they answer a call to provide compassionate care for others.
