Providence Supportive Housing Hires Director of Development

We are pleased to announce Shirley Bekins has joined Providence Supportive Housing as the new Director of Development. In this new role, Shirley will identify opportunities to develop new supportive housing programs throughout the Providence Health & Services. She will also assume a leadership role in tracking and addressing asset management needs and identify opportunities to partner and integrate health care delivery and housing resources.

Shirley has worked on behalf of Providence Supportive Housing as a consultant for many years. She was instrumental in the successful development of Providence Joseph House in Seattle that opened in September 2012 and on the development of Providence John Gabriel House in Redmond, WA scheduled to break ground in September 2015.

Shirley has worked on behalf of many non-profit organizations throughout Washington State in her capacity as a development director and consultant at Common Ground and most recently Bellwether Housing.

Timothy Zaricznyj, Ed.D., is director of housing for Providence St. Joseph Health. He leads 16 affordable housing programs in Washington, Oregon and California. Zaricznyj holds a doctorate in education from the University of San Francisco for which he published the dissertation “Righting Home, A Critical Hermeneutic Study of Home, Homelessness and the Spaces In Between.”
