When to visit the ER

Learn to assess your symptoms and only go to the ER if necessary.

DO NOT visit a hospital emergency department if you have minor symptoms such as cough and fever. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a 14-day home-quarantine. Call your healthcare provider if your symptoms change.

DO visit a hospital emergency department if you develop difficulty breathing or other severe symptoms.
