Learn how to confirm eligibility and schedule your vaccination

Beginning 9 a.m., Monday, March 29, the state of Oregon has determined the following people will be eligible to receive the COVID vaccine. 

Adults 46-64 with one or more underlying health conditions with increased risk*

Migrant and seasonal farm workers

Seafood and agricultural workers

Food processing workers

People living in low-income senior housing, senior congregate and independent living

Individuals experiencing houselessness (sheltered and unsheltered)

People currently displaced by wildfires

Wildland firefighters

Pregnant people 16 and older

* Underlying health conditions with increased risk as defined by the CDC are: 

Cancer 
Chronic kidney disease 
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Down syndrome
Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant or HIV
Obesity (BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2)
Pregnancy
Sickle cell disease
Type 2 diabetes mellitus 

Following that group, the next people to become eligible can make appointments starting April 5, two weeks earlier than expected. See covidvaccine.oregon.gov for more information. 

There are two ways to schedule your vaccine appointment. As COVID vaccines are limited, appointments are required at most locations. 

1. Pharmacies - go to vaccinefinder.org to see pharmacies in your area with available vaccine appointments. 
2. Sign up at Oregon Health Authority's getvaccinated.oregon.gov to be notified when an appointment is available. 
    

• Click on the blue Get Started Oregon link.
• Answer the questions to confirm that you are eligible. 
• Oregon Health Authority will select names at random from those who have registered to receive the vaccine, based on the number of doses available.
• When you have been selected you will receive a text message notifying you that you are next in line to schedule. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your vaccine appointment. If you do not have text or email capabilities, you will receive a phone call to schedule. 

If you live in Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah or Washington counties, there are two locations where you can receive the vaccine:

• The Portland International Airport drive-through vaccination site
• The Oregon Convention Center vaccination site, known as "All4Oregon." Providence is working with other health systems at this site to provide vaccines.

Please note that the Oregon Convention Center does require standing, walking, and using the elevator. There will be extra support for those who request it. This includes wheelchairs and people to escort you quickly through the process. With rare exception, you will receive the Pfizer vaccine at the Oregon Convention Center. 

If you need help using the registration tool, consider working with a family member or trusted friend. 

If you have trouble registering on the Oregon Health Authority website, please call 211. 

You can select the phone option for vaccination in Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah and Washington counties. Answer the questions to confirm that you are eligible. You will then be connected to a scheduling team to assist you. 

The 211 line may be busy as schedulers from Oregon Health Authority work to help others. You are welcome to stay on hold or follow the prompts to ask for a return call.
