The Seattle CIO ORBIE Awards announced today that B.J. Moore is the 2021 Seattle CIO of the Year. On Friday, June 25 chief information officers from across the greater Seattle area were honored at a virtual breakfast celebration for demonstrating excellence in technology leadership. The finalists were named in six categories: global, large enterprise, enterprise, large corporate, corporate and health care.
B.J. is the executive vice president and chief information officer for Providence. He leads information services to support and enable Providence to achieve its vision of health for a better world. Following his leadership, the Providence information system team focuses on digital transformation defined by three pillars: simplify, modernize and innovate.
This includes partnering with leading organizations in areas such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. B.J. has an extensive background in leading initiatives for digital transformation, enterprise could services, strategic planning, operational strategy and analysis, and guiding large-scale projects and teams.
