Helen Lettice was no stranger to St. Jude Medical Center. Her husband, Fred had become ill and was treated at St. Jude Medical Center where he received compassionate patient care. After Fred passed away in 1990 Helen felt compelled to give back to the hospital who cared so well for her late husband, whom she described as the love of her life. She became a dedicated volunteer at St. Jude Medical Center for over 21 years; logging over 7,500 hours.
In addition to her time and effort, Helen established a legacy at St. Jude by leaving a gift to the Hospital in her estate plans, becoming a member of the very special Sr. Jane Frances Legacy Society. She said, “When it came time to make my estate plans, it was an easy decision to include St. Jude Medical Center as a beneficiary –– because of the wonderful care my husband received.”
Helen Lettice passed away in December of 2019 and her irrevocable bequest of $500,000 was realized and sent to the St. Jude Memorial Foundation. This generous gift will have a positive impact on the health care of the community we serve. St. Jude Medical Center is so gratified by Helen’s faith in our efforts.
If you would like to learn more about bequest or if you have already made St. Jude Medical Center a beneficiary of your estate plans it would be an honor to have you join the Sr. Jane Frances Legacy Society.
