From Providence Medical Group and Clinical Programs

Welcome to our first renewed issue of Compass. This newsletter now goes to all Providence Medical Group and Clinical Program caregivers.

As you know, 2020 was overwhelmingly defined by COVID and our response to it. Together, we:

  • Created a COVID virtual triage clinic and opened drive-through testing
  • Rolled out countless new protocols and centralized PPE distribution for 100+ clinics
  • Implemented Zoom and virtual visits for more than 900 providers, resulting in more than 30% of visits now occurring virtually
  • Helped our caregivers and communities during the widespread forest fires, especially those in southern Oregon
  • Transitioned more than 300 caregivers who were working in POP2, 4th floor, to working remotely
  • Opened a heart transplant program within Providence Heart Institute
  • Completed more than 200 research publications within our Clinical Programs
  • Returned clinic volumes to pre-COVID levels, with a strong budget performance to finish 2020
  • Continued a multi-year trend of increasing patient engagement scores, resulting in our highest ever score of 86.9% top box.

These are just some highlights of your many accomplishments. We are now embarking on mass vaccinations for our communities, a major and unprecedented effort that will help keep our patients and communities safer. Our team is emerging from 2020 battle weary but capable of great things in 2021 – all because of you. Your commitment to your patients, colleagues and communities is nothing short of amazing and inspirational.

We’ve all been through so much together during the past year – staying in touch has never been more important. We want to hear from you and share your stories.

Every day you inspire the leadership team with your commitment to our patients. Thank you for everything you do.
