There is something that sets St. Jude Medical Center apart from other hospitals. It is a distinction characterized by a spirit of caring that extends to all residents in our community, with special emphasis on the poor and vulnerable.
This unique aspect of our mission, stemmed from the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, is most strongly reflected in St. Jude’s Care for the Poor programs. These vital, philanthropy-supported services examine the needs of the whole person and the whole community. Our neighborhood health clinics provide access to high quality health care for the un- and underinsured. Beyond health care, St. Jude engages in community partnerships to address social determinants of health, such as homelessness, healthy child development, social and physical environments, isolation and substance abuse.
We hope you will join us at our annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors dinner on March 22 at Summit House Restaurant to learn how St. Jude is spearheading solutions to address some of the most pressing needs plaguing our region. Event proceeds help sustain life-changing programs that generate positive health outcomes and empower individuals to care for themselves and others.
