How to handle coronavirus stress and anxiety as a new parent

New parents are concerned for their baby’s health and their own. Stressors are coming from multiple outlets of life including financial worries, the strain of caring for a newborn while working and the isolation of social distancing at a time.

“Everyone acknowledges what a delicate, tough and scary situation this is,” says Danielle Fisher, M.D., F.A.A.P., pediatrician and vice chair of pediatrics at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California. “I feel for parents at a time like this.”
