• Shouting or using vulgar or profane or abusive language. • Writing of malicious or inappropriate comments (or illustrations) made in the patient medical record or other written documents. • Making public derogatory comments about the quality of care being provided by other physicians or healthcare provider, rather than working through peer review/quality review process or other avenues to address the issues. • Inappropriate expressions of anger such as destruction of property or throwing objects. • Physical assault; and • Conduct that demeans the dignity of any person(s) or disrupts the orderly operation of the facilities. B. The medical/professional staff/AHP staff and hospital prohibits all forms of unlawful and unacceptable harassment, including harassment due to race, religion, sex, nation origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation and disability. Examples of such conduct include, but are not limited to: • Unwelcome or unwanted physical advances of a sexual nature (such as unwelcome touching, assault or interfere with movement or work) • Requests or demands for sexual favors. This includes subtle or blatant expectations, pressures, or requests for any type of sexual favor accompanied by an implied or stated promise for preferential treatment or the risk of negative consequences. • Verbal abuse or joking that is sexually oriented and unacceptable to another individual (such as epithets, derogatory comments or slurs). • Any type of sexually oriented conduct that unreasonably interferes with another's performance (including but not limited to display of derogatory cartoons, drawings, or posters). All allegations of discrimination, harassment or disruptive behavior will be immediately investigated by using the Bylaws/Rules and Regulations/ Policies and Procedures of the Medical Staff. Furthermore, disruptive behavior or conduct which is felt to be disruptive and unprofessional which is displayed in the hospital is likewise prohibited. Such issue may involve; personal or irrelevant attacks on staff, patients or other physicians that go beyond the bounds of fair professional comment; impertinent and inappropriate comments written (or illustrations drawn) in a patient's medical record or other official documents; non-constructive criticism delivered in such a way as to intimidate, undermine confidence, belittle, or to impute stupidity or incompetence; participation in committee or department affairs only on his/her own terms or doing so in a disruptive manner; idiosyncratic requirements imposed on the nursing staff that have nothing to do with improving patient care.
