Dear Covenant Health community,
As the seasons change, I want to share some of the ways Covenant is growing to
meet the needs of our beloved community. This newsletter is filled with stories
that beautifully illustrate how innovation and compassion come together to
make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
You'll read about the new treatments now available close to home, including
CAR T-cell therapy for cancer patients and deep brain stimulation for those
living with Parkinson's disease. You'll also see how Covenant Children's is
building a Small Baby NICU designed just for our tiniest patients, and how
new Safe Haven Baby Boxes are protecting vulnerable infants across the
South Plains.
We are incredibly proud that U.S. News & World Report has once again named
Covenant Medical Center the Best Regional Hospital in Northwestern Texas.
This recognition is a testament to the skill and commitment of our caregivers.
And thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, our recent Weekend
of Giving raised $900,000 to strengthen services for mothers and babies.
As we head into the holiday season, let us reflect on the successes we've
achieved in 2025 and look forward to the new ways we can better provide care
in 2026. Thank you for trusting us with your care. It is an honor to serve your
family and our region, and I hope you enjoy the stories in this issue.
Warm regards,
Walter L. Cathey, FACHE
