11 U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 5,000 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures to identify the best in the nation. Covenant Medical Center has once again been named the Best Regional Hospital in the Northwestern Texas Region for 2025–2026. This year, Covenant Medical Center was recognized for eight high performing procedure and condition areas: 1. Congestive Heart Failure 2. Colon Cancer Surgery 3. Heart Arrhythmia 4. Hip Fracture 5. Kidney Failure 6. Pneumonia 7. Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma 8. Prostate Cancer Surgery Covenant Health Grace Surgical Hospital was also recognized as high performing for knee replacement. U.S. News evaluated each hospital's performance using a variety of measures such as survival rates, complication rates, patient experience and level of nursing care. The Best Hospitals methodology factors in data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, American Hospital Association, professional organizations and medical specialists. The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings are designed to assist patients and their families in making National Recognition, Local Care Covenant Medical Center named Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures. Families across West Texas and eastern New Mexico can have peace of mind, knowing nationally recognized care is available close to home.
