9 Heart disease is the leading cause of death of women in the United States. To help raise awareness, Covenant Medical Group hosted a free health fair, focused on women's heart health and wellness. The event was held on Saturday, May 17 at the Knipling Education and Conference Center. At the event, a panel discussion with Covenant Health experts covered topics to better understand women's heart health at any age. Those topics included wellness, prevention, and health maintenance—such as screenings, lab tests, annual exams, overall heart health, diabetes management, nutrition, and hormone replacement therapy during perimenopause and menopause. We would like to extend our gratitude to these experts who generously shared their expertise with the fair's attendees: • Dr. Marina Iskandir, Interventional Cardiology • Dr. Haley Hughston, Cardiology • Dr. Bennett Henderson, Obstetrics and Gynecology • Dr. Ramya Undamatla, Endocrinology • Dr. Holly Lewis, Family Medicine In addition to our speakers, we would like to thank all the caregivers and community partners who helped make this event a successful day full of learning, connecting, and prioritizing heart health. A Women's Heart Health Fair Expert-led panel discussions, health checks, and wellness resources to support our community To watch a video of the discussion panel scan the QR code or visit providence.org/locations/covenant- health/cmg/covenant-cardiology- associates-at-cmc
