Providence has a long history of serving Alaskans, beginning when the Sisters of Providence
brought health care to Nome in 1902 during the Gold Rush. Today, Providence Alaska continues
that Mission of compassionate care with ministries in six communities — Anchorage, Eagle
River, Kodiak Island, Valdez, Seward and the Mat-Su Valley — and service to many more via
telehealth. In partnership with providers throughout the state, we provide a lifetime of care for
Alaskans of all ages.
