11 Providence support services Our Providence team is here to support you and your family. Self-care is also an important part of the journey. Find time to do something that brings you peace. Eat and drink plenty of fluids. Sleep and rest when you can. Talk with your friends and family and utilize the following professional supportive services as needed. Palliative care The Palliative Care team provides counseling, planning assistance and help navigating the medical system. Palliative care focuses on relieving pain and symptoms by prioritizing comfort and quality of life in any stage of illness. To contact the Palliative Care department, call 818-496-1837. Spiritual care The Spiritual Care team provides confidential and interfaith spiritual support for spiritual and emotional needs. Chaplains specialize in providing comforting spiritual rituals, discussing new diagnoses/treatment and processing grief and life changes. To request a chaplain, please notify the nurse or call 818-496-4700. Clinical social work The Clinical Social Work team supports patients and families as they cope with illness and life transitions. Social workers can provide families with coping resources and help them identify systems of support. To contact the Clinical Social Work department, call 818-496-4366.
