2 | Health Matters: Providence Mission Hospital Letter to the Community Seth R. Teigen, FACHE, Chief Executive Providence Mission Hospital A s our South Orange County community continues to grow, Providence Mission Hospital is also expanding to meet the increasing demand for high-quality health care close to home. Our $712 million multistage expansion includes new health centers in San Clemente and Rancho Mission Viejo. These unique outpatient centers will offer urgent and walk-in care services staffed by our Heritage physician partners, an imaging center with advanced diagnostics and a multispecialty clinic with primary care physicians and other specialty care providers. The Providence Mission Health Center at San Clemente, located adjacent to the Outlets at San Clemente, will open in early 2025. The Providence Mission Health Center at Rancho Mission Viejo is expected to open at the end of 2025 at the northwest corner of Chiquita Canyon Drive and Airoso Street. Both health centers will bring quality care closer to our patients. The third element of this innovative expansion plan is a new patient care tower on the Mission Viejo hospital campus. This substantial expansion will provide state-of- the-art operating suites, nearly 100 private patient rooms and a new main lobby and hospital entrance. We hope to have renderings to share in early 2025. As we walk in the footsteps of our founding Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and Sisters of Providence, the legacy of Mission Hospital is rich and our future is very bright.
