Health Matters: Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center | 11 Community Benefit Grants to Local Nonprofits A total of $1,396,500 in grants were made to area programs supporting health care and mental health services for underserved populations, including: • Buckelew Programs • Cope Family Center • Molly 's Angels • Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center • Abode Services • Catholic Charities • CommuniCare OLE (HIV) • Community Health Initiative • Jamboree Housing • Mentis • On the Move • Operation Access Napa County Community Health 2023 SUMMARY COMMUNITY HEALTH QVMC CARE Network Team of caregivers who provide care coordination for persons living with chronic health conditions and challenging socioeconomic situations. Patient encounters: 28,885 Net benefit reported: $4,230,390 Children's Mobile Dental Clinic Provides dental care for children at easy-to-access locations. Patient encounters: 5,004 Net benefit reported: $33,358 Healthy 4 Life Nutritional and physical fitness programs for children promoting a healthy lifestyle. Patient encounters: 22,231 Net benefit reported: $79,894 Perinatal and Health Education Community Outreach offers a wide range of classes designed to help expecting moms, partners and families make informed choices about their pregnancy and birth. Patient encounters: 3,260 Net benefit reported: $460,051 Supportive Housing Providence focuses on housing investments to favorably impact housing stability, mental health and substance use disorder, access to health care, and health equity. Dollars invested: $500,000* Number of housing units: 40 A t Providence Community Health, we believe that everyone should be able to live a healthy life, regardless of their income or where they live. We strive to serve and teach children, adults and families throughout Napa County—especially in low- income neighborhoods— how to be healthy so they are inspired to live their best lives possible. Based on the community needs assessment conducted by Providence hospitals every three years, we're proud to have funded the following programs in 2023. *The Supporting Housing Investment in CY23 is also included in the $1,396,500 in community grants.
