Covenant Children's is excited to announce the launch of
a program designed to support high-risk mothers who
are experiencing hypertension or preeclampsia during
pregnancy or up to six weeks postpartum. This initiative
aims to empower mothers by providing them with the
tools and knowledge necessary to manage their health
effectively during this critical period.
Under this new program, mothers are given home blood
pressure monitors and essential education at discharge.
These tools enable them to monitor their own blood
pressure regularly and become active participants in
their healthcare.
High blood pressure during and after pregnancy poses serious risks. Through early detection
and timely intervention, the program aims to mitigate these risks, ensuring better health for both
mothers and their babies.
Covenant Children's is dedicated to the well-being of families and continues to develop initiatives
that address the unique needs of mothers and infants. This program represents a significant step
towards reducing the impact of hypertension and preeclampsia.
