From our early roots as a 100- bed hospital to the medical center we are today, our commitment to offering world-class, compassionate care close to home has not wavered. In fact, Providence Saint Joseph has expanded in every one of our eight decades, adding new buildings and beds, the Valley 's only outpatient comprehensive cancer center, a neuroscience clinic, and most recently a new emergency department and an urgent care center. We continue to be committed to serving the community with excellence—from our U.S. News & World Report ranking as a Best Regional Hospital to our Healthgrades rating for patient safety and our magnet designation for nursing excellence. Earlier this year, Providence Saint Joseph was recognized as one of the 20 best hospitals in the U.S. for patient experience based on an analysis of more than 30 million online patient reviews. This high ranking and all of our accolades are a testament to the exceptional and compassionate care and service provided by our caregivers, physicians and volunteers who live our Mission and values every day and work tirelessly to ease the way of those we serve.
