6 | Health Matters: Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center S arah Abrams knows the importance of asking questions. A special education teacher, she spends most of her day both asking and being asked questions constantly, often having to repeat herself to her students over and over. But she knows that repetition is part of education, and that the person asking the question simply wants to feel heard and valued as they try to understand what's going on. "I'm really big on com- munication," says Sarah. "In my family, we ask a lot of questions, especially in new or scary situations. We want to know everything that's happening."
