10 | Health Matters: Providence St. Joseph Hospital " With the unveiling of Providence St. Joseph Hospital's new medical offi ce building, patients will experience expanded access to comprehensive women's health care and clinical specialties in a healing environment. We are excited to see this vision come to fruition. The Helen Caloggero Women's and Family Center includes a Women's Care Center housing a wide spectrum of specialized services. From obstetrics and gynecology intertwined with oncology care to maternal mental health, pelvic health, comprehensive breast imaging, a mother–baby assessment and a planned natural birth center, every aspect of this facility is designed to meet the needs of women and their families. Expect to see a number of medical services moving into the building in a phased approach throughout the year, including a freestanding Natural Birth Center staffed by midwives. This center will offer an intimate birth experience in a safe environment. We'll work with you on your birth experience preferences. And should you need it, access to emergency services is just around the corner at Providence St. Joseph Hospital. With the addition of the Natural Birth Center, our patients will have access to one of the most comprehensive maternity care services programs in Southern California. Yet this building isn't solely a sanctuary for women's care. It also opens doors to a realm of other clinical services including urgent care, imaging, orthopedics, ophthalmology and more.
