INPATIENT AND COMMUNITY PALLIATIVE CARE Our focus on palliative care helps optimize comfort and quality of life. GENETIC COUNSELING The Providence Center for Clinical Genetics and Genomics offers risk assessment for people concerned about their family history, whether the BRCA gene mutations that can lead to breast cancer or hereditary ovarian, pancreatic or colon cancers. FINANCIAL COUNSELING The Providence Holy Cross Infusion Center can connect eligible patients with community resources, from financial assistance to rides to and from chemotherapy. LUNG CANCER SCREENING If you're age 55 to 80, have a 20-pack-a- year or more smoking history, are currently smoking or have quit within the past 15 years, you may be eligible for a lung cancer screening covered by insurance. As a Lung Cancer Alliance Screening Center of Excellence, PHCMC offers low- dose radiation CT scans to detect tumors in their earliest stages, when they are most treatable. HOLISTIC CARE In partnership with the Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank and other community organizations, we refer patients for complementary therapies such as yoga and massage. ONCOLOGY REHABILITATION Our physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists help patients recover strength and function lost to cancer and its treatment, including weakness and fatigue, pain, post- mastectomy shoulder pain, lymphedema, incontinence and dysphagia.
