Providence Alaska Children's Hospital
The state's first and only hospital for kids
celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023.
Providence has a long history of serving Alaskans, beginning when the Sisters of
Providence brought health care to Nome in 1902 during the Gold Rush. Today, Providence
Alaska continues that Mission of compassionate care with ministries in six communities
— Anchorage, Eagle River, Kodiak Island, Valdez, Seward, and the Mat-Su Valley — and
service to many more via telehealth. In partnership with providers throughout the state,
we provide a lifetime of care for Alaskans of all ages.
