• PKIMC will pay or reimburse for: Þ CNA course tuition at Kodiak College and any associated fees Þ Uniforms and training supplies Þ Textbooks Þ State of Alaska CNA certificate, exam and application fees Þ Wages for time spent in class and clinicals What happens when the Earn While You Learn CNA Training Program is over? • After you have completed the CNA course and earned your CNA license from the State of Alaska, you'll be eligible to apply to open CNA roles with Providence. PKIMC staff will be available to assist you with this process. • PKIMC expects you to work in a Providence facility on Kodiak Island as a CNA for one year after you earn their CNA license. What happens if I decide to withdraw before the Earn While You Learn CNA Training Program is finished? • Providence expects that participants have an interest in a career in healthcare and can commit to finishing the program. If circumstances change and you can no longer continue, please talk to the Earn While You Learn CNA Training Program lead at Providence and/or Barbara Brown at Kodiak College. We want to see you succeed and are happy to help! • If you decide to withdraw from the CNA course with Kodiak College, you will no longer be eligible for the Earn While You Learn position with Providence and your employment will be terminated.
