Supporting our Caregivers Our Providence Promise We've always ensured to deliver on our Providence Promise: Know me, care for me, ease my way, to our caregivers, patients, and the community we ser ve. Because our Promise is what distinguishes us apar t from other health care organizations, it is an integral focal point for us each year. As a result, we offered the following ser vices and resources as par t of our Promise in 2021: • CARING THROUGH COVID As part of a $220 million investment in our workforce, Providence provided $1,000 recognition bonuses for caregivers, accelerated recruitment to fill 17,000 open positions across the enterprise and offered caregiver referral bonuses between $1,000 and $7,500. In addition, the annual tuition reimbursement for eligible full-time caregivers was increased to $5,250. These investments help us better ser ve our caregivers and community. • CAREGIVER WELLNESS RESOURCES » On-site counseling To help our caregivers deal with the stress of the pandemic and its effect on their lives, we enlisted Sarah Hor vath, LMF T, to provide free on-site counseling at each ministr y. Sarah continues to provide FREE counseling ser vices in Torrance ever y Friday and in San Pedro ever y Monday. » Counseling and spiritual resources ຄ Behavioral Health Concierge, a free, confidential behavioral health ser vice available to caregivers and their dependents. Often offering same- or next-day telehealth appointments, caregivers can schedule visits with licensed mental health professionals by calling 833-PBH-WELL (833-724-9355), from 7 am to 8 pm Pacific time. ຄ Lyra, our new caregiver assistance program par tner, offers mental health coaching, guided self-care, mental health therapy and wellness tools to help our caregivers through the challenges and struggles with convenient options to meet vir tually or in-person. ຄ TeleSpiritual Health, available for caregivers who seek prayer for strength, or a listening ear. Caregivers can request appointments with our Spiritual Care team at telespiritualhealth@providence.org. ຄ The Physician Support Line, a hotline specifically for MDs coping with the added stress of the COVID-19 pandemic. The line is staffed by hundreds of volunteer psychiatrists. Please note: this resource is not a par t of the Providence health system. ຄ Talkspace, a vir tual counseling app (accessible by phone or computer) that allows caregivers to talk to a licensed, in- network Caregiver Assistance Program provider 24/7. » Self-guided resources ຄ Sanvello, a mental telehealth app that uses the clinically backed principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness meditation to help users with anxiety, depression, and stress. ຄ Stress Meter, a tool that rates the level of (real-time) stress the caregiver is feeling and provides connections to corresponding resources. ຄ The Virtual Calming Room, a healthy escape using anxiety reduction and relaxation techniques to provide healthy outlets for stressful times ຄ Silver Cloud, online programs that use cognitive behavioral therapy to help with resilience, stress, insomnia, and more. 19 strENGtHEN tHE COrE
