We are honored that Healthgrades, a leading consumer health care site, named Providence Holy Cross among America's Top 50 Hospitals in the nation for the third straight year and presented us with its Patient Safety Excellence Award for the second year in a row. We are also proud that U.S. News & World Report named Providence Holy Cross a Best Regional Hospital and rated us as high-performing in gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology and for procedures and treatment for congestive heart failure, colon cancer surgery, COPD, heart attack, kidney failure, pneumonia and stroke. And we are gratified that Modern Healthcare magazine included Providence Holy Cross in its Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the third straight year. Finally, we are pleased that the American Nurses Credentialing Center redesignated Providence Holy Cross as a Magnet Hospital, the highest recognition for nursing excellence. We joined a distinguished group of 2.2% of U.S. hospitals that have achieved the four-year Magnet designation four times. Magnet hospitals are noted for empowering nurses to raise the bar on patient care through collaboration and research.
