7 Service details: Optimal Aging by CareLinx is a caregiver match-making marketplace. We connect you with quality, professional caregivers who can assist you at home or on the go with non-medical services such as meals, mobility, housekeeping, exercise, medication reminders, bathing, companionship, transportation and more. It's also affordable: families can save up to 25% compared to hiring a caregiver through a traditional care agency. Our personalized virtual support online business model helps families pay less and caregivers earn more. You can choose a caregiver directly from among a pool of local professionals found on our website or, if you choose our consultation method, our dedicated care team can review your needs and choose a caregiver with you, at no charge to you. Once your caregiver is hired, we take care of the paperwork and you benefit from having someone who lightens your load in-home or on the go, as little or as much as you'd like. Optimal Aging Contact Information (800) 377-1307 https://optimalaging.carelinx.com Getting ready for surgery Nutrition and Medication Herbs/Vitamins/Supplements: Discontinue all herbal and non-vitamin supplements seven days prior to surgery. If you are taking Aspirin, Coumadin, or any other blood thinning medications please contact your surgeon or Perioperative care clinic to discuss a plan if you did not already receive this information. To prevent infection, it is very important that you do not shave around the surgery site for 72 hours (3 days) before your surgery! Exercise: Exercise/physical activity for at least 30 minutes per day at least 5 times per week. It is important for you to participate in your recovery. By working together, we will make sure your stay in the hospital will not last longer than necessary. Please be aware that we do our best to accurately estimate when you'll go to surgery. However, surgery times are always subject to change due to patient care needs. Bring something to help pass the time before surgery. We will keep you informed throughout your stay about the updated time frame for your surgery.
