6 | Health Matters: Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center others," says Dr. Mena, "is that we all work together with a goal—to restore a person to function and health. And the place is not so large that people forget about that goal." And it shows. "When I used to get my infusions, the infusion nurses would sit with me and a friend I brought and we would talk about 'girl stuff.' It didn't feel like a medical setting," Mulvey says. "Even the women in the waiting room are supportive of each other. No one ever seems like they are having a bad day. When you walk in the building, you feel like arms are embracing you in a big hug."
