Covenant Health gives early Christmas gift to community members

As part of our commitment to community outreach, Covenant Health provides comprehensive dental care to the communities we serve at a reduced cost through the Covenant Community Dental Clinic.

This full-service dental program is designated for low-income and uninsured adults and children. The dental clinic is open Monday - Thursday and offers screenings, examinations, cleanings, X-rays, sealants, fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions, dentures and oral health education.

In 2022, Covenant partnered with the Lubbock Health Department and local non-profit, Lubbock Impact, to create a dental collaborative. Lubbock Impact operates a free dental clinic periodically alongside its free medical clinic.

To address the long wait list for dental services at Lubbock Impact, a two-day clinic was held. In December, Covenant dentists, registered dental assistants and front desk staff participated in this free dental event, providing care to area patients.

This collaboration provided many in need with an early Christmas gift: free dental services.

Becky Robertson, executive director of Lubbock Impact, said, “The team of dentists and staff were very kind and eager to care for our patients, knowing their pain would soon be gone. It’s hard when you are in pain to work or take care of daily tasks, especially when you can’t take a day off financially. This partnership has been a great blessing to the Lubbock community.”
