Craig Goodwin is a Spokane photographer who began a journey with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma last fall. Since then, he’s completed five months of intensive chemotherapy, spent 45 days in Sacred Heart’s inpatient cancer care unit, undergone a 
month of radiation and had his spleen removed in June.
Photo Exhibition Today
Despite all that, Craig found time – as well as peace, hope and healing – in the art of photography. You can see Craig’s work at a special exhibition at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center today (July 30), from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in The Café, on lower level 3.
Craig is sharing the photos he took during his cancer journey, along with the stories that accompany them. Craig said, “Last winter, in the middle of five months of chemotherapy, I set a goal of doing art shows this summer as something to look forward to. I never imagined one of the shows would be at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center where I spent 45 days getting treatment. But, I’m excited for the opportunity. Hopefully I can be an encouragement to those with cancer and others who are involved in caring for people who have cancer. For me personally, this show is a reminder that there is not only life after cancer, but there is a full and creative life to be lived during cancer treatment, as well.”
